What happens in a one to one lesson?
With the help of an Alexander Teacher you are taken through a process of exploration to become aware of how you use your physical body when responding to situations and everyday activities.
There is an emphasis on improving alignment and learning how to influence your reactions to situations through thinking. This indirectly benefits the functioning of your whole self.
Through discussion and guidance by the teacher's hands, you will learn to:
Recognise undue tension. Think differently to improve the quality of your actions. Maintain alignment of your head, neck and back. Perform activities with greater awareness, ease and poise. Apply the Technique to any activity that interests you from working at a computer, to playing a round of golf, public speaking or even dieting.
